NFP Appoints Patrick O’Neill as Head of Financial Institutions Group

New Executive to Lead FIG Amid Ongoing Expansion

NFP, an Aon company, has appointed Patrick O’Neill as the new head of its Financial Institutions Group (FIG).

O’Neill, who previously held the position of Senior Vice President within the FIG, focusing on large accounts, succeeds Lauren Kim, who is transitioning to Regional Managing Director for P&C in the Northeast region.

“This is a great opportunity for Patrick, and it aligns perfectly with the leadership he’s demonstrated since joining NFP eight years ago,” said Mike Walsh, President of Commercial P&C, in a company statement.

“Under Lauren’s leadership, our Financial Institutions Group has raised the bar, and we are confident Patrick will continue this momentum. With his leadership and the support of an outstanding team, we are poised for even more growth and will continue to provide valuable insights and solutions for our clients navigating a dynamic financial landscape.”

O’Neill joined NFP in 2016 from Everest National Insurance Company. With extensive experience managing large accounts and addressing the complex challenges faced by financial institutions, O’Neill is well-equipped to lead the group.

“I am excited to lead the Financial Institutions Group, building on the solid foundation laid by Lauren and working alongside our exceptional team,” O’Neill shared. “Lauren made significant contributions to advancing the FIG, and we are well-positioned to continue helping our clients tackle complex challenges with tailored expertise and solutions.”

O’Neill will lead a management team that includes Justin Corey, Amy Jenkins, Jaclyn Ross, Nima Seirafipour, and Marc Tauber.

NFP’s Financial Institutions Group serves a wide range of clients, including banks, insurance companies, and investment management firms, providing specialized expertise in risk management and insurance solutions.

Operating as an independent platform within Aon, NFP employs over 7,700 people worldwide and generates global revenue exceeding $2 billion. The company offers comprehensive services across property and casualty brokerage, benefits consulting, wealth management, and retirement plan advisory. NFP maintains a strong presence in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Puerto Rico.
